Abstract
Objectives: The The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of oral disease symptoms among adolescents, and to examine the relationship between the number of oral disease symptoms and lifestyle habits, sleep, and stress. Methods: The participants included 30,229 middle school students from grades 1 to 3 and 29,811 high school students from grades 1 to 3. Results: For both the middle school and high school students, the factors associated with an increase in the number of oral disease symptoms were grade level (higher grades), economic status, alcohol consumption, frequency of cariogenic beverage intake, stress, and sleep. Conclusions: It was determined that national policies are needed to improve those factors that negatively affect the oral health of adolescents.
