Abstract

The advent of high-speed rail reflects the developments in transportation that accompanies the new phase of the industrial revolution. In the article, the author analyzes the features of the construction and operation of high-speed railways in the countries of the East. Special attention is paid to the use of foreign technologies and investments. Under the sanctions imposed on Russia, this experience can be useful for the development of Russian highspeed rail passenger transportation.
