Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of thecompetitive activity of players of men'shandball teams of the First League of Ukraine.Topicality. The analysis of scientific researchconducted by handball specialists shows thatthey mainly concerned highly qualified teams,the study of performance indicators of themen's teams of the first league of Ukraine willcomplement the existing data and willcontribute to the strengthening of the scientificcomponent in the training system of qualifiedhandball players. The purpose of the researchis to determine and analyze the quantitativeand qualitative indicators of the execution ofpositional throws in the process of competitiveactivity of qualified handball players ofvarious playing roles. Research material andmethods: The competitive performance ofplayers of various roles who participated in theUkrainian handball championship amongteams of the 1st league (n = 20 games) wasanalyzed. Work results. Positional shots (hitson the goal) are one of the determiningindicators of the effectiveness of competitiveactivity in team sports. A certain trend isobserved in the execution of throws fromdifferent positions, which indicates thepeculiarities of the game of handball players ofa particular role. The analysis of scientific andmethodical sources shows that the data wereceived are new for the study of thecompetitive activity of qualified handballplayers representing teams of the First League of Ukraine. Key findings. Throws from thecorner of the court are typical for extremeplayers (with an efficiency of 58.8%), linemenare dominated by throws from 6 meters (anaverage of 17 times per game), the mostdiverse assortment of throws is characteristicof semi-average players (a total of throws from6, 7th and 9th meters on average 30 times withan efficiency of 60%). The point guards haveto make positional throws less often thanothers (an average of 8 throws per game withan efficiency of 37.5%).
