Abstract

Currently, differences in perspectives on technology verification persist between suppliers(researchers) and consumers(private companies, etc.) of national research technology, making it difficult to disseminate research results. This is because the research results are simply at the level of prototypes(prototypes) for technology implementation, which creates a difference in thinking from consumers who have actual commercialization in mind. In order to connect research technology to a business for sale, technology development that combines design must take precedence, and in particular, the importance of design for prototype production is greatly increased. The design elements that need to be considered in addition to research technology are very extensive, and it is very important to apply them in the R&D stage to increase the value of research technology. Therefore, this study seeks to understand the importance of the role of design, which has had a passive impact on technology commercialization, and examine the role and implications of design for revitalizing the research industry.
