Abstract

The possibility assessment of using impregnating compounds for maintenance of rubber elements of an air suspension of road vehicles has been carried out. Solid oil (the cheapest general-purpose grease) and anaerobic material of the AN-1U brand (a more expensive impregnating compound) were used as impregnating compounds. It is shown that the use of impregnating compounds in maintenance of rubber elements of the air suspension of road vehicles makes it possible to increase their resistance to negative temperatures, minimize cracking of the material and, consequently, increase the durability of the suspension. The capabilities of the LS-Dyna software package for solving engineering problems are demonstrated. The current directions of further research in this area are considered.
