Abstract

The purpose — to present the epidemiological characteristics of dermatophytosis and scabies among the population of a large industrial region (on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan). Material and methods. The materials of the study were the data of official accounting and reporting documentation: statistical form No. 9 «Information on the incidence of predominantly sexually transmitted infections and contagious skin diseases» for 2012–2021. A retrospective analysis of the incidence of contagious skin diseases of the population in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2012–2021 was carried out by processing data with Microsoft Excel software. Results. During the analyzed period, the incidence of contagious skin diseases in the Republic of Tatarstan was unstable, with a moderate downward trend in 2021 (from 132.9 cases per 100 thousand population in 2012 to 101.9 cases per 100 thousand population in 2021) with a predominance of dermatophytosis in the nosological structure (93%). among persons with contagious skin diseases, women (59.5%), persons over 40 years of age (44.29%) and children aged 0–14 years (31%) prevailed. Conclusion. The anti-epidemic measures introduced in 2020 aimed at combating the COVID-19 pandemic had a positive result on the epidemiological situation in terms of the incidence of dermatophytosis and scabies, while maintaining the downward trend.
