Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of preschoolers’ coherent speech formation at the stage of preschool training. It is well known that the period of preschool childhood is characterized as the time of the dynamic formation and development of the phonetic, lexical, grammatical sides of native speech. It is in preschool age that the foundations of productive speech activity are laid. Preschoolers’ ability to create their own statements is a kind of the indicator of the level of a child’s intellectual and social development. An inherent requirement for any speech statement is the observance of consistency as a communicative quality of speech. Speech consistency is provided by a number of logical skills based on logical operations. In this regard, teaching logical operations to children at the stage of preschool training is of considerable importance. The author offers specific methods of work on senior preschoolers’ elementary logical skills formation.
