Abstract
The article deals with the problematic issues of the development of Ukrainian statehood on theeve and during the activity of the government of P. Skoropadsky. It is shown the influence of the foreignpolitical factor on the formation of the military-political situation and state-building processes duringthe revolutionary events on the territory of Ukraine in 1918. It was showed a number of positive andnegative moments of P. Skoropadsky and his government's activity in the case of national state-building.
