Abstract

Due the development, the critical and creative thinking has a great value for modern specialists in music culture, the music-history subjects; in particular, Ukrainian music art is playing the leading role in formation of professional skills of musicians. The studying of composer’s works and “biographical topics” as their traditionally integrative part are the main theme of scientific researches on method teaching of music-history subjects. The biographical topics in modern educational program are named with the different terms that are mean various ways of teaching of artist’s biografies. They are the biography (the life story) and the artistic portrayal. The contents and methods of learning of biographical topics depend on developmental features of pupils. The facts of the composer’s interests in chilhood world can be a discussion topic on Listening to Music at elementary school. The composers’ chilhood and edolescence, his main life events and music works of some jenre as intergrative part of learning of musical genres on Music Literature are age-appropriate for lower secondary education lewel. The subjects “Listening to Music” and “Music Literature” are the propaedeutics of studying of an artistic portrayal of composer. Their aims are to do review of the main figures in Ukrainian music and their some works. The third lewel is the center in music-history education and includes the studying of Ukrainian music art based on chronological and stilistic principles. The life story or the artistic portrayal of composer on “Ukrainian music art” makes easier to undestand the individual features of his works and music style, to visualize his personality and to form some image of an epoch in “musical sound”. There are various types of biographical lessons on didactic purposes: a lesson on learning of new knowledge, an interactive lesson, a lesson on axiological aims, a lesson on problem discussion, a complex lesson, an integrative lesson and a binary lesson. The learning of music-history subjects are characterized by the various options in selections of studying facts and the broad interdisciplinary links, as well as the reach opportunities for individual, experimental and compentency-based learning.
