Abstract

Russian-Chinese relations at the present stage continue to develop actively despite the difficult foreign policy conditions. The Russian Federation is under unprecedented sanctions from most countries of the Western Bloc, and China has a difficult relationship with the United States on a number of critical issues. The foreign policy pressure on China due to the close and largely allied cooperation with Russia after February 2022 has not broken the partnership. This article examines the main trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China in the last few years, and especially since the outbreak of the armed conflict in Ukraine. Both countries are at a critical historical stage not only for themselves, but also for the vast majority of emerging economies. The dominance of the United States is declining and the world is becoming multipolar. In this turbulent time, it is extremely important to maintain and develop partnership and mutually beneficial relationships, which countries are doing.
