Abstract
The article is devoted to the scientific heritage of Professor Anatoly Nikolaevich Shchukin (1932–2023), a methodologist, author of a number of modern linguodidactic and terminological dictionaries, textbooks, author of over 500 papers of linguodidactics, a deep researcher in the field of teaching of Russian as a foreign language, founder of a large research school. The works of A.N. Shchukin are widely known to specialists in Russia and beyond. He made a significant contribution to the development of the teaching methodology of the Russian Language and to the spread of the Russian language in the world. The biography of A.N. Shchukin is an example of devotion to the science, a role-model for researchers of the younger generation who start their journey.
