Abstract
The article analyzes federal and regional statistics of accidents related to forgery, storage and distribution of counterfeit money in Russia. The authors come to the conclusion that the registered violations are associated with the strengthening of banknote protection technologies and changes in the structure of the money supply. According to the authors, the demand for accidents associated with the counterfeiting of money was absorbed by particulars committed using information and telecommunication technologies or in the field of computer information.
