Abstract

The article considers the ways of lexical units translation in the English-Tatar dictionary for students. Educational Tatar lexicography with a foreign-language component is becoming more and more in demand today due to the development of polylingual Russian-Tatar-English environment within the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. The paper reveals the main ways of translating words, phrases and sentences, which can be used by lexicographers for further work in this field. The author pays attention to the search for correspondences in the two different-system languages, the accuracy and adequacy of translation.
