Abstract

The developed method and device for concentrating of liquid samples in a shipping container, allowing automatically obtain a given final volume of concentrate, are described. This device has a simple design that does not require special skills to work with it, unlike a standard inverse filtering installation. Concentration is carried out by removing water from the shipping container through the device. The proposed method is especially relevant when working with biological samples. The ability to concentrate the sample using a thermos as a shipping container allows avoid the sample temperature’s sudden changes and ensure the safety of planktonic organisms for their further accounting and research.
