Abstract

Over the past 70 years there has been a big leap in the development of the technosphere. New technologies have been able to take root in various public spheres and continue to strengthen their positions more and more every day. Such rapid development of technologies entails a large number of changes, and some of them may even affect human nature. This can happen due to the development of biotechnologies, particularly in the development of genetic engineering. There are supporters who believe that technology will be able to transform a person into a more perfect form, increase his physical and intellectual capabilities, i.e. make him an overman. Such ideological representatives are, for example, transhumanists. But there are also those who believe that transformations are completely unethical and even dangerous both for human and for the future of the whole society. The purpose of the article was to highlight various approaches describing the pros and cons of the merger of man and technology, to highlight the main consequences to which this merger can lead, and to describe real cases of improving human life or the human body due to the achievements of science and technology.
