Abstract

The author analyzes the socio-ethical and medical-psychological aspects of gender ideology taking the example of gender reassignment in children. The following research methods were used in the work: study and analysis of the professional literature, synthesis, modeling, comparison, generalization, observation, system analysis and theoretical knowledge. The introduction of ultra-liberal concepts in the West in bioethics, philosophy, cultural studies, medicine, pedagogy and psychology leads to dangerous consequences. All traditional values will either be deformed or reformatted and will contribute to the destruction of human health and life. This will inevitably reduce the quality of the doctor's training, increase the number of diagnostic, therapeutic and ethical-deontological errors. In order to treat the gender identity disorder, it is not necessary to change sex. Instead, psychological correction and psychotherapeutic methods aimed at accepting one’s gender and increasing social adaptation when communicating with peers might be used.
