Abstract

With the development of ICT, the industry has entered a digital transition period, and there are representative fintech companies representing financial innovation. IT-based FinTech companies can provide users with financial services such as payments, remittance, repayment, and loans, which are traditional financial industry areas, to users under the “separation of banking and commerce” policy.
RegTech is a combination of 'regulatory and technology' and is a technology for IT-based regulatory innovation. With the global financial crisis in 2008, the financial industry began complex and strengthened regulations, and IT-based FinTech companies began to use RegTech to efficiently comply with financial regulations, and regulators also began to actively use RegTech to share new regulations with companies and detect or guide violations.
We would like to suggest supplements and improvements of RegTech, a method of regulatory innovation that can prevent startup companies such as FinTech and big tech companies from slowing down in growth due to regulations and prepare for the newly changing global regulatory policy.
