Abstract

The article discusses the nature and characteristics of the development of strategic alliances and partnerships in the railway transport of Ukraine. It is noted that strategic interaction significantly expands the possibilities for partner companies to use the benefits of an integrated corporate structure, while maintaining significant economic and institutional isolation.The advantages and disadvantages of strategic alliances, barriers that impede effective cooperation are considered. The advantages of creating alliances are the simplicity of partnership, the mutually beneficial contracts with suppliers, the synergistic effect of interaction, the outsourcing of more complex research, development and technology, the sharing of sales to achieve maximum profitability. The negative sides of strategic alliances are the presence of several leading centers; unpredictability of the consequences of creating an alliance, instability, fragility of the organizational structure.The features of the development of strategic alliances in Ukraine are analyzed. On railway transport, the emergence and spread of strategic alliances is explained by the acceleration of scientific and technological progress, the increasing globalization of markets, and the emergence of a consumer-oriented economy.The specifics of the functioning of railway transport enterprises determines the need for active interaction of important subjects of the transportation market: Ukrzaliznytsya, shippers and the state. This underlines the importance of starting cooperation in a public-private partnership.
