Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of Indian mythological serials, considered as a phenomenon of mass culture and a specific tool of socialization. A comparative analysis of Indian mythological serials is carried out in order to determine their characteristic features. The object of the study was Indian mythological serials of the late 20th and early 21st centuries on the plot of the ancient Indian epic “Ramayana”, which, rethinking the traditional, having gone through a long path of formation, formed into a separate genre of cinema in India, becoming a powerful tool for promoting national culture.
