Abstract
The author of the article explores various approaches to defining the term “scientific worker” considering Russian legislation. The laws and regulations of the Russian Federation, as well as international regulations, are considered. Raising issues related to qualifications, labor relations, and independence in scientific activity, points of view of legal scholars on the definition of this concept are analyzed. A unified definition of the term “scientific worker” is proposed, which takes into account the specifics of his professional activity, qualifications and labor relations, in order to consolidate it in Russian legislation.
