Abstract

The study aims to describe how the Adyghe linguistic personality is realised as a translator of an epic text. Scientific novelty lies in identifying ethnospecific units introduced into texts to convey meanings that have no exact analogues in Russian culture, in the Russian language; in describing the ways of their introduction. As a result, it has been found that the translator’s linguistic personality possesses two language structures equally, has great communicative freedom in introducing Adyghe lexical units into the lexical layer of the Russian language.
