Abstract
The article reveals the economic and legal essence of the nature use fee, examines the process of formation of the institute of nature use fee in the Soviet and post-Soviet periods of the country's development, justifies the need for a unified conceptual approach in determining the forms and methods of establishing and charging fees for the use of various natural objects, it is proposed to use the category "principles of nature use fee" to develop a unified concept of nature use fee, analyzes the most significant principles of establishing nature use fee in modern Russia.
