Abstract
The subject of the study is the occupations of workers and positions of employees that are in demand in the Russian labor market for certain categories of workers (foreign workers; internal labor migrants; underage citizens (14-17 years old); workers with less than one year of work experience in the field of education; disabled persons; persons aged 50 and older, as well as persons of pre-retirement age; women with pre-school children). The purpose of the paper is to identify in-demand professions of workers and positions of employees in organizations and their separate subdivisions/branches, carrying out economic activities in the territory of the subject of the Russian Federation for certain categories of workers. The research method is the online survey of organizations to determine the in-demand professions of workers and positions of employees for certain categories of workers, taking into account industry and regional specifics. The methods of economic and statistical analysis, analysis of scientific literature, and Internet sources are used. The results of the paper are the approbation of the methodology of monitoring of professional and qualification structure of the employed and the formation of the lists of the in-demand professions of workers and positions of employees for certain categories of workers. The scope of application of the research results is such that the research materials can be used by federal and regional executive authorities to form the main directions for the development of the vocational education system; development and updating of professional standards, adjustment of the lists of professions, specialties, areas of training in the field of vocational education and training. The results of a study of the professional preferences of employers in relation to various categories of workers can also be used by employment services and educational organizations in career guidance to justify the choice of a profession and clarify career trajectories.
