Abstract

The article provides the analysis of nominations identified in the dictionaries and folkloric sources of old-timers’ dialects of Yakutia and labeled as “superstitious”. The vocabulary associated with folk conceptions is considered as a special stratum of the language of the Russian old-timers of the Arctic representing the peculiarities of their worldview. The linguistic material is classified and analyzed from the viewpoint of ethno-linguistics, which studies a folkloric language in the broad cultural and ethnographical context.
