Abstract

The mechanism of the historical memory of the descendants of the frst settlers about the formation of the villages of the Kokchetavsky outer district of the Omsk region of the West Siberian Governor-General in 1849-1851 is analyzed. Interviews of some residents of former Cossack settlements, as well as descendants of immigrants living outside the study sites are collected. The analysis of local history and memoir literature is carried out.
