Abstract

The article describes the structural integration of the missionary school into the ethnic culture of the northern Altaians at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. The missionary school is seen as an innovation. In the process of its implementation, innovation becomes a “foreign” Altai school. The relationship between the concepts of innovation and ethnic culture is also considered. Factors of structural integration are identified. The emphasis on the ethnic group of the Northern Altaians is justified. The conclusions and results of the process of structural integration of innovations into the ethnic culture of the indigenous peoples of Northern Altai are summed up.
