Abstract

This study seeks to introduce the theory of (Critical Discourse Analysis). And tries to reveal theirorigins, linguistic backgrounds, and methods, as an advanced approach in the analysis of texts anddiscourses, bypassing content analysis procedures to detect the misuse of language in order to devotemanifestations of dominance. It is a linguistic theory that emerged in 1989, benefiting from its advances inthe linguistics field, so it received great attention from American and European linguists in particular. Theresearch is an attempt to define it, its theoretical basis, and criticism of methods. The great purpose of thisresearch is to prove its linguistic background, in order to avoid confusion in its classification due to thescarcity of its theoretical and applied researches in the Arabic linguistics.
