Abstract

The article is focused on the analysis of the strategic planning in Russia at the current stage of its development. The author comes to the conclusion that there are seven stages in the history of the formation of the strategic planning in modern Russia. Each of them is a natural consequence of taking into account the criticism and experience of the strategic planning, its documentary support, systematisation of strategic planning documents, their monitoring and execution. It is stated that the full package of fundamental documents of the long-term strategic planning of the socio-economic development of Russia was adopted only by the end of 2021. The creation and approval of the Strategy of the long-term socio-economic development of Russia is a natural consequence of the development of the strategic planning in Russia at the present stage of its development.
