Abstract

The following guideline is proposed in the best practice recommendations of French Academy of
Osteopathy1: “Clinical cases describe the unique experience, and they are presented to facilitate the
knowledge exchange, contemplation, and analysis. Writing of a clinical case is a task that combines the
description of the care experience with several other delicate aspects, such as understanding the treatment.
In osteopathy, this combination means that specialists verbally describe their perception. It is a task with
which many practitioners are not quite familiar, and its complexity is well understood thanks to the
 philosophical doctrine of phenomenology.
