Abstract
The study draws conclusions from the analysis of some aspects of ensuring Russia’s national security at the present stage of civilization development, as well as outlines their impact on the state of the military-political situation in regional strategic areas that are vitally important and play a priority role in ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation. It elucidates the causes of conflicts, Russia’s role and place in ensuring national security. Based on the analysis results, problems of organizational and legal regulation requiring elimination of negative factors at the state level are identified. Ways of ensuring Russia’s national security are outlined, through which the exacerbated contradictions can be stabilized in light of new threats. Identifying threats will enable the strategic and domestic stability of society, creating conditions for countering the collective West, facilitating the construction, functioning, and development of the national security system. Suggestions are made for improving Russia’s security system and the necessity of conducting a set of measures for its legal provision, as well as utilizing the existing potential.
