Abstract

The purpose of this article was to study the organization of examination, features of the structure and dynamics of primary disability of the adult population in the Novosibirsk region, including in a pandemic. The article analyzes the number and contingent of disabled people in the Novosibirsk region, as well as compares the data with those of the Siberian Federal District and the Russian Federation as a whole. The materials for the study were reporting forms No. 7-Sobes of the FSI “Main Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise in the Novosibirsk Region”. It is shown that since 2010 the number of persons recognized as disabled for the first time has been steadily declining. The contingent of disabled people in the Novosibirsk region is mainly represented by disabled people of the 3rd group of retirement age. Over the period 2020–2021, the FSI “Main Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise for the Novosibirsk Region” of the Ministry of Labor of Russia conducted 30 examinations to determine the cause of death of medical workers performing work duties in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The period of restrictions caused by the new coronavirus infection emphasized the importance of electronic interdepartmental interaction between the institution of medical and social expertise and medical organizations, and became the reason for its active development.
