Abstract
In the article the impact of capitalness on the development and functioning of Yerevan city is analyzed in two dimensions: 1) The impact of capitalness on internal structure of the city, on its main subsystems and on the intensity and nature of interconnection of subsystems of the city, as well as on the change of the role of separate structural elements, 2) Capitals interaction with the external environment, the impact of capitalness on the functioning of communal-territorial systems on different levels, on the main backbone functions of the capital. The changes of the structure of the systems at different phases of development of RA are considered
