Abstract

<p>The article is devoted to the analysis of the legal aspects of ensuring the psychological safety of those children who need state assistance. The article discusses the issues of systematization of the conceptual apparatus of legislation that determines the legal status of such a category of minors in need of state assistance, such as children in difficult life situations, including children left without parental care. Particular attention is paid to the legal status of children in a socially dangerous situation. The thesis is substantiated that the legal mechanism for ensuring the psychological safety of children in need of state assistance is fundamentally different from a similar mechanism addressed to children who managed to avoid the consequences of parental deprivation in their life. The current Russian legislation, which defines the legal basis for ensuring the psychological safety of various categories of children who need state assistance, is examined, and ways to improve it are proposed.</p>
