Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out a difference in need of housing living services according to the life trends of newlyweds; to identify characteristics related housing living services. The subjects of study were newlyweds aged between 19 and 39 living in Seoul and metropolitan area, who were newlyweds up to 7 years of marriage or marriage expectant couples preparing to get married within 1 year. The study performed an online survey, and 261 responses were used for analysis. The collected data was processed by using SPSS Ver.22 statistics program. The results were as follows: 1) The overall experience of housing living service items was limited, and the need for housing living service items was the highest among national daycare center, unmanned delivery, after school child care, fitness center and late hour child care, while the need for pet cafe, pet care, camping and barbecue was low. 2) The “Querencia” and “Work Life Balance” trends have emerged as key life trends for the surveyed newlyweds. 3) Life trends showed a significant difference in the need for housing living services, and the need for them by groups with strong trend tendencies was higher.
