Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the degree of appreciation among a sample of Jordanian universities students (Irbid National University and Isra University) to the quality of life and its relation with self – esteem. To achieve the aim of the study, the researchers followed the correlational descriptive approach, where she developed two measures: the first is the quality of life, which consists of (34) paragraphs, and the second is the self-assessment. It consists of (24) paragraphs. The sample included (279) students. The results showed a high level of quality of life, and that there were no statistically significant differences due to the gender variable and the type of college, except in the field of quality of social life, and in the field of "quality of healthy life" for scientific colleges, the results also showed a high level of self-esteem. There were no statistically significant differences due to the gender variable in the self-esteem, but differences were found for the variable of the type of college in favor of (humanitarian colleges).
