Abstract
The study, using the example of mausoleums of the Pavlodar Irtysh region, revealed the role of sacred places in the formation of the historical consciousness of the inhabitants of the region. The territorial scope of the study is the state forest nature reserve “Ertis Ormany”, located on the territory of the Akkulinsky and Shcherbaktinsky districts of the Pavlodar region. Most of the mausoleums on the territory of the reserve are burials of religious fgures and missionaries of Islam. Main sources: thematic interviews, mass media, government strategies and programs.
