Abstract

The paper's relevance is due to the need to improve effective government management of occupational safety and health at the regional level. The object of the study is the structure of employment and occupational injuries by type of economic activity. The study hypothesizes that the constituent entities of the Russian Federation with the dominant type of economic activity are characterized by a high level of occupational injuries. The purpose of the research is to conduct a comparative analysis of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in terms of employment structure and occupational injuries by industry type. The methods of the paper are data analysis, synthesis, comparison, induction and deduction, and cluster analysis. As a result of the study, the constituent entities of Russia with the same type of employment structure were identified and grouped and territorial levels of occupational injuries were compared by industry.
