Abstract

Sea buckthorn, a unique and valuable plant that has recently attracted the attention of the whole world, mainly due to its medicinal and nutritional properties. Sea buckthorn fruits contain more than 100 different nutrients, bioactive substances and are a rich source of vitamins. The main problem when laying industrial plantations of sea buckthorn is the availability of planting material for female, and especially male plants. In this regard, there is a need to assess the effect of growth stimulants on the root formation of lignified sea buckthorn cuttings. The study was carried out in 2021/2022 on the territory of a private nursery in the Moscow region. Kornevin and Green Fuse preparations were used as root formation stimulants. The most effective preparation for the rooting of lignified cuttings of sea buckthorn variety ‘Zheltoplodnaya’ has been determined. The reproduction rate with Kornevin is 56%, while the Green Fuse stimulator was less effective (40%). It has been established that the worst rooting rate (7%) with the longest shoots (49 cm) and roots (55 cm) was observed in the 'Gnom' variety with the use of the Green Fuse stimulator, however, this drug has the best effect on the development of the aboveground and underground parts of rooted cuttings varieties 'Gnome' and 'Zheltoplodnaya'.
