Abstract

Introduction. The reproduction of young scientists in the structure of the scientific community remains a challenge, despite the established science management system, a wide range of mechanisms and tools to support young scientists and their research. In this connection, the research perspective focuses on what factors of formation influence the reproduction of young scientists in the conditions of inefficiency of the institute of state support of the studied socio-professional group. Theoretical basis. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study was the synthesis of a structural-functional and institutional approach that made it possible to carry out factor operationalization of the institutional influence (primarily of institution of education, institution of postgraduate studies and institution of the labor market) on the reproduction of young scientists. Results and its discussion. Institutional structures of reproduction of scientific personnel in connection with the transformational processes taking place over the past decades in Russian society have shifted from a system of dysfunctionality and have lost their regulatory impact on reproductive processes. In this connection, the implemented state policy on «attracting» and «retaining» young scientific personnel will have ineffective, short-term result.
