Abstract

The study aims to determine the role and importance of research culture in the process of training innovators in the electric power industry. The paper presents an analysis of the definitions of the research culture notion, identifies its main components and characteristics in the form of a basis for the successful implementation of innovative processes, presents the results of empirical studies confirming the need for the formation of a high-level research culture among the student community, in particular among future specialists in the electric power industry. Scientific novelty of the study lies in substantiating the role of research culture in the formation of a student-innovator as a determinant of innovative processes implementation. The results of the study amount to substantiating the relationship between research culture development and innovative processes implementation, obtaining empirical data confirming the need of research culture formation among students, developing the main areas for improving the system of innovators training in the electric power industry based on research culture formation.
