Abstract

<p>Modern living conditions, characterized by the rapid development of technology, leave their mark on numerous spheres of life. They include a change in the way of a person’s life and a request the training of schoolchildren from the state. Within the framework of the first direction, the format of distance learning becomes relevant, within the framework of the second direction innovative teaching methods are actual. The aim of the research is the study of the motivational component when using innovative teaching methods in the framework of distance learning. Based on the analysis of theoretical data, an empirical study was conducted, in which students of the GBOU SOSH «Romanovskaya school», Moscow, took part. In the course of the study, the method of observation (students of grades 7) and questionnaires (students of grades 6-11) were used. The study found that the distance learning format reduces the motivation of students in applying innovative teaching methods. The need for an integrated approach on the part of teacher and parents in increasing the motivation of students in distance learning using innovative methods as well as critical thinking development has been identified. This study, focused on finding effective approaches to teaching generation Z children born in the 21<sup>st</sup> century, allows reconsidering traditional approaches to increasing the motivation of schoolchildren in the educational process. The results can be used by school teachers and parents to increase the motivation for learning in schoolchildren.</p>
