Abstract
Teaching is a unique and important profession performed by well-trained professionals. Constant changes in our lives require reform of teacher education to prepare "high quality teachers". The main purpose of this research is to examine the characteristics of a well- developed, competent and creative classroom teacher according to the requirements of the time and to create a scientific portrait. Also, it is to identify effective teaching methods that can be used to improve students' skills. We studied a lot of literature on this topic and came to the conclusion that a classroom teacher should have personal, professional and educational (pedagogical) competencies.
