Abstract
The purpose of this work is to determine ways to optimize the current approach to the formation of a list of critical import goods within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. The article substantiates the need to develop a supranational mechanism for creating a list of goods critical for import at the EAEU level. The main stages of the algorithm for forming a general list of critical import goods are proposed. The possibility of implementing the proposed approach on the basis of existing agreements of the EAEU member countries is being assessed. In the context of the implementation of the unified customs policy of the EAEU regarding the cross-border movement of goods, it becomes necessary to form an adequate mechanism for the application of critical imports at the Union level. The absence of such a mechanism at present is partly responsible for the destabilization of the EAEU economy and the slowdown in the integration development of the EAEU. The proposed approach can become a starting point for further research and analysis of ways to develop a common approach to the use of critical imports within the EAEU.
