Abstract

This study investigated the impact of agency on freshman' career decision level in the Chinese university directly and indirectly through career barriers, and also examined the moderation role of social support on the relationship between agency and career barriers. Data were collected from 270 undergraduate engineering freshmen at a large Chinese university. The results showed the mediating effect of career barriers between agency and career decision level, and supported this mediating effect was moderated by social support. The study is expected to offer practical insights for career guidance programs at Chinese universities and provide implications for Korean universities.
