Abstract

The socio-pedagogical role of general education teachers is an integral part of their professional status in kindergartens and schools. In recent years in Bulgaria, with the development of the concept of inclusive education, the responsibilities of pedagogical specialists in terms of providing support for personal development have increased. These responsibilities are also the basis of the socio-pedagogical construction as a prerequisite for the development of pedagogical competencies. This article presents parts of a research among pedagogical specialists to recognise socio-pedagogical support as their essential professional competence in modern education.
