Abstract

The scientifi c publication is addressed to a wide range of readers: fi eld agents of internal affairs agencies, professors and lecturers of specialized departments and faculties, research scientists within the profi le of their scientifi c interests. The study brings up to date the importance of the profession of a criminal investigator. The theoretical relevance lies in the development of approaches towards the problem of the establishment of a psychological contact with persons of interest by a fi eld agent within the framework of criminal intelligence and surveillance operations, which contributes to the improvement of the theory of criminal intelligence and surveillance operations and criminal intelligence and surveillance psychology. The practical relevance lies in the improvement of professional activities of practitioners by the development of special knowledge, abilities and skills of the establishment of a psychological contact with persons of intelligence interest.
