Abstract

The article reveals the main theoretical and methodological aspects of organizing and conducting socio-economic monitoring. The object of the study is monitoring in the socio-economic sphere, and the subject of the study is the theoretical and methodological aspects of organizing and conducting socio-economic monitoring. The aim of the article is to identify and formalize the theoretical and methodological aspects of organizing and conducting monitoring in the socio-economic sphere. The logic of the presentation of the article involves the transition from various theoretical approaches to the interpretation of monitoring in general and socioeconomic monitoring, in particular, to the disclosure of relevant areas of monitoring in the socio-economic sphere, as well as the features of their organization and conduct, the use of various methods of scientific analysis and synthesis. The novelty lies in identifying the main interpretations of the concept and technologies of monitoring in the socio-economic sphere in modern conditions and taking into account the current request of public authorities. The authors identify general theoretical approaches to the interpretation of monitoring, including with regard to a logical approach. The study presents a comparative analysis of socio-economic monitoring with related financial and economic monitoring. In addition, such a normative direction in socio-economic monitoring as monitoring of the social and labor sphere, as well as a non-normative direction - monitoring of socio-economic processes has been identified. As the key conclusion, the article presents the results of the study, containing the most general description and classification of theoretical and methodological aspects of organizing and conducting socio-economic monitoring.
