Abstract
Analysis of commercial estimation of oil reservoirs using the material balance method nowadays plays an important role in the oil and gas industry, as the process of oil recovery is improving and steadily increasing, while the oil quantity, quality, occurrence conditions and spatial distribution significantly affect the efficiency of resource utilization and the ability to make informed decisions on field development. The purpose of this research is to study the method of commercial estimation of oil reservoirs using the material balance. As a result of the study, it was found that this method allows a more accurate estimation of the initial oil reserves in the reservoirs, as well as efficient improvement of the recovery processes, which is of great importance for the rational management of hydrocarbon reserves and for ensuring the economic potential of the oil industry development. The results of the analysis proved that the material balance method can be efficiently applied when analyzing the development of a reservoir to determine the share of each type of energy involved in oil production.
