Abstract

On the basis of systematization and analysis of field material concerning Kyivske and Zhytomyrske Polissia, the article by Ukrainian ethnologist Nadiia Kovalchyuk (Надія Анатоліївна Ковальчук) reveals the variants of the ‘Seeing God Off’ ritual dedicated to the Ascension Day feast. In addition, the author determines the areas of their distribution within the territory of Ukrainian Middle Polissia.
