The results of study concerning the dynamics of professional motivation rates can be used to support the professional development of inquiry officers from the psychological aspect.Conclusion. During the entire study process we have discovered a particular unity and homogeneity in the motivational component of inquiry officers during the stage of academical training: all four test groups of law enforcement students have a low level of criminal type of professional motivation ratios. Also, the low level of importance was given to a conformistic type of professional motivation. It was defined that the internalistic component was the most dominating motive for all four test groups. During the academic training the adequacy of professional motivation gets higher. In general, it can be concluded that the motives of professional activity of the future investigative authorities’ associates correspond to the main requirements of the profession. However, an additional attention should be given to a low level of their dedication to professional development and a decrease in the level of professional interests. To correct these results, the implementation of the psychological support system on the stage of academic training can be helpful.
